With events happening on- and off-campus for students, alumni, faculty, staff, and benefactors, the day celebrates all things Fisher and encourages support through giving.

I Heart Fisher Giving Day matches and challenges include the 75th Anniversary Match and the Faculty and Staff Challenge. For the 75th Alumni Dan Boyce ’79, Mike Moran ’80, and Mike Haefner ’82 will match all gifts dollar-for-dollar up to $75,000. Retired employee and longtime benefactor Bob Heerkens and his wife, Tarri, are challenging 125 employees to make a gift on the day and they will contribute $2,500.

Other highlights from the day include the student I Heart Fisher t-shirt giveaway at locations in the Donald E. Bain Campus Center, Cyber Cafe, and Pioch Cafe, starting at 11 a.m. until gone. Fisher Dining will celebrate with the Fisher Favorites lunch in Ward-Haffey Dining Hall, Commuter Council will be offering free coffee and hot chocolate in the morning in parking lot A, and other fun events will be happening in several campus locations throughout the day. Be sure to study the Philanthropy Facts signs throughout campus for a chance to win prizes with Cardinal on the Street.

You can watch progress through the day at go.sjf.edu/fishergivingday, see which departments and teams top the giving leaderboard, and learn of new challenges offered. In 2022, the women’s soccer program topped the athletics giving leaderboard, the Area of Greatest Need Annual Fund received the most gifts, and alumni from the ’10s had the most participation.

I Heart Fisher Giving Day is a collaboration between Alumni Engagement, Office of Student Engagement and Leadership, Student Government Association, Student Alumni Association, Student Activities Board, Residence Hall Association, and Commuter Council, partnering with many departments and offices around campus including Fisher Dining Services, Office of Safety and Security, Lavery Library, Office of Campus Ministry, Athletics Department, Human Resources, and the Health and Wellness Center.
