Spanish Language and Cultures Scholarship
Each year, Fisher offers scholarship to two high school seniors to recognize achievement in Spanish language and cultures as sound preparation for college work.
Scholarship recipients will receive $3,000 annually, over four years, if they maintain a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA and complete a minor within the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures.
Application Process
Note: We are no longer accepting applications for the Spanish Language and Cultures Scholarship. The application will open for the next academic year in late summer.
Scholarship Criteria
These scholarships are available to all high school seniors with proficiency in Spanish.
Students of all majors are eligible for this scholarship but must have at least a minor in Modern Languages and Cultures.
Candidates must be nominated by a Spanish language teacher or counselor and demonstrate:
- Excellence in scholarship, character, leadership, and service
- Communicative ability in the language with complete speech utterances beyond the present tense
Regular admission standards typically include a high school GPA of B/B+ and a strong high school curriculum.
