
12/04/2018 - With the holidays quickly approaching, the St. John Fisher College men’s and women’s basketball teams need your help as the Cardinals, along with teams from Nazareth College, the University of Rochester, and Rochester Institute of Technology, hold a toy drive as part of the third annual Mark’s Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout.

11/30/2018 - St. John Fisher College was given a 2018 Award of Merit by the Landmark Society of Western New York for its renovation of the Kearney Hall Spire. The College was honored during the organization’s annual awards presentation on Sunday, Nov. 11.

11/30/2018 - On Wednesday, Nov. 14, St. John Fisher College students organized “We is for Equality,” an event featuring panel speakers who discussed the current climate surrounding equality in society.

11/28/2018 - This fall, Dr. Wendi Sierra, assistant professor and interim director of the Interactive Media Program, was invited to the Oneida Nation in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to deliver a lecture on her research as part of its Distinguished Scholar Series.

11/20/2018 - Dr. Marilyn Dollinger, professor and executive associate dean in the Wegmans School of Nursing, was given the Policy and Service Award by the New York chapter of the American Nurses Association. She was formally honored during the Association’s annual meeting held in Albany, New York, on Friday, Oct. 19.

11/20/2018 - Dr. William Graf, associate professor and chair of the Department of Religious Studies at St. John Fisher College, will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of noted American Trappist monk Thomas Merton at the December First Friday Lecture.

11/20/2018 - This fall, the New York State English Council named Dr. Joellen Maples its collegiate 2018 Educator of Excellence. The Council, which brings together language arts educators at all levels pre-K through college to offer professional development and share best practices, praised Maples for her leadership in the classroom, mentorship of teachers new to the profession, and for inspiring her students to become skillful readers and writers.

11/20/2018 - First-year students in Maureen Barry’s Critical Reading and Writing Learning Community had the opportunity to skype with the author of an ethnographic study about homelessness in America.

11/16/2018 - Last week, The PRIMA Group hosted its fourth annual Meet The Media panel series on campus. An interactive student-led panel discussion, Meet the Media explores the relationship between public relations, journalism, and social media.
