
10/08/2018 - Students and faculty in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy recently traveled to Mexico, Tanzania, South Africa, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Montana's Blackfeet Reservation to engage in medical missions or service trips. College News Highlights caught up with four students to hear how they used their pharmacy skills to work in health care clinics and provide care to patients in their homes while abroad.

10/08/2018 - The Wegmans School of Pharmacy will join pharmacists across the country in recognizing October as American Pharmacists’ Month. Designed by the American Pharmacists’ Association, the month is an opportunity to educate the public about the role of pharmacists as members of the health care team, and celebrate the profession.

10/08/2018 - Dr. Greg Cunningham is an expert on the olfactory senses of birds, having researched how penguins, hawks, and seabird chicks react to different odors. In the next iteration of his research, Cunningham traveled to the Northwest coast of Costa Rica to work with professors from Veritas University to test how fish might react to the scent of a chemical in the water. For this trip, he brought along senior Jenna Keppel, a summer research fellow, to work alongside him.

10/05/2018 - With the launch of The Fisher Edge in fall 2018, the Office of Institutional Advancement, in collaboration with the Center for Career and Academic Planning, joined the initiative by launching Cardinal Connections, a new online platform that connects alumni and students with the purpose of providing meaningful avenues for mentorship and guidance.

10/05/2018 - Students at St. John Fisher College recently had the opportunity to participate in the LeaderShape Catalyst, a one-day conference run by LeaderShape, a program that develops leadership skills among college and university students.

10/04/2018 - Niche.com, a major research and ranking site, has ranked St. John Fisher College No. 29 among the Colleges with the Best Professors in New York for 2019.

10/02/2018 - On Monday, Sept. 25, more than 100 members of the St. John Fisher College community registered to vote during the National Voters Registration Day event.

09/28/2018 - One of the most common causes of preventable death after traumatic injury is uncontrolled bleeding, and now because of a new program on campus, St. John Fisher College students, faculty, and staff can receive the training to provide immediate, frontline aid until first responders arrive.

09/26/2018 - Drs. Elizabeth (Lisa) Phillips and Angela Nagel were recently announced as chair and vice chair, respectively, of the Pharmacy Practice and Administration Department in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy.

09/26/2018 - Students interested in the marketing field will have their pick of professional development activities, guest speaker events, and networking opportunities, thanks to the St. John Fisher College chapter of the American Marketing Association’s (AMA) Marketing Week.
