The event will be held at 5 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 18, in Cleary Family Auditorium in Kearney Hall. Dinner will be served. Registration is $50. Visit go.sjfc.edu/familybusiness to register, or call the Office of the Dean of the School of Business at (585) 385-8446.

At the dinner, the School of Business will summarize results of its Family Business Survey, which sought to gain insights into the characteristics and needs of family businesses in Rochester. The School will also unveil an upcoming series of events intended to support family business owners, offering networking and educational activities designed to address concerns and topics of interest to family-owned firms.

The program will also feature a keynote address from Ken Glazer, chairman of Buckingham Properties. During his lecture, “Be Resilient: The Glazer Family Business Story,” Glazer will discuss how his family firm transitioned following the tragic passing of his parents in September 2014. His talk will include a question-and-answer session moderated by Dr. Jason Berman, professor of management.
