Weekend Brings Fisher Families to Campus
Families will have the chance to experience St. John Fisher College through their student’s eyes during Family Weekend.
Taking place Thursday, Oct. 18 through Sunday, Oct. 21, the weekend features a variety of family-friendly activities, offering something for everyone.
Family Weekend check-in will take place at the Campus Center Information Desk from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, and continues from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20. The College Bookstore will also be open throughout the weekend.
Here’s a sampling of what’s in store:
Thursday, Oct. 18
Glazer Family Business Event & Dinner
6 p.m. in Cleary Family Auditorium
Do you own a family business? Join us for this inaugural Family Business Program featuring keynote speaker: Ken Glazer, chairman of Buckingham Properties and learn more about Fisher’s future plans for family business education and programming. This a ticketed event hosted by the School of Business.
Friday, Oct. 19
DIY Family Fun
6 to 8 p.m. in the Campus Center Atrium and Mainstage
Come and tye dye your own Family Weekend T-Shirt and enjoy some fall favorites like apple cider and donuts.
Fisher Family BINGO
8 p.m. in the Campus Center Mainstage
Join us for this Fisher fave activity and a chance to win fun prizes!
Saturday, Oct. 20
Teddi Trot 5K and Fun Run
8 a.m. at the Skalny Welcome Center
Registration for the race is $5 for the Fun Run or $10 for the 5K. All proceeds will benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times through the Teddi Dance for Love.
Coffee with President Rooney
9:30 a.m. in the Wilson Formal Lounge
Enjoy casual conversation and coffee with the President to officially kick off Family Weekend.
Family Photo Session
10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. at LeChase Commons
Do you need a family photo for this year’s holiday card? Let our professional photographer capture it on campus!
Murder Mystery Brunch
11 a.m. in Cleary Family Auditorium
Hosted by Fisher Players, this brunch will leave you guessing, “Who dunit?” Tickets available at Family Weekend check-in.
Football vs. SUNY Morrisville
1:30 p.m. at Growney Stadium
Enjoy light refreshments prior to and during the football game in the Family Weekend Hospitality Tent. Tickets for the football game (2 p.m. kick-off) are available at the gate.
Campus Walking Art Tour
5:45 p.m. at the Campus Center Quad (tour runs from 6 to 7 p.m.)
Did you know that Fisher is home to a unique selection of art? Come explore and learn about these features with staff from the School of Arts and Sciences and Lavery Library.
Student Activities Board Presents: Casino Night
7 p.m. in Cleary Family Auditorium
Come out for a night of fun games with your family and win some great prizes!
Sunday, Oct. 21
Mass with Reception to follow
10 a.m. in the Hermance Family Chapel of St. Basil the Great
Enjoy mass with a reception to follow.
Sunday Brunch
11:30 to 2 p.m. in Ward-Haffey Dining Hall

NFL Game Day: Buffalo Bills vs. Indianapolis Colts
1 p.m. in the Campus Center Mainstage
