02/18/2019 - Now in its second year, the FIS(HER) program intends to provide a forum for St. John Fisher College students to develop new tools and concrete strategies to overcome gender-based obstacles. The event takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, in Golisano Gateway Midlevel. It is free and open to the Fisher community.

Freshmen, Seniors Asked to Participate in Student Engagement Survey The word feedback is written on a chalkboard.

02/14/2019 - St. John Fisher College is participating in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). The survey launched on Tuesday, Feb. 12, and will remain open until Friday, March 22. Freshmen and seniors are encouraged to participate, and members of both classes received the survey via email. The survey can also be accessed through Blackboard.

DeJesús-Rueff Given Distinguished Achievement Award Richard DeJesus-Rueff

02/12/2019 - Dr. Richard DeJesús-Rueff, emeritus vice president of student affairs and adjunct faculty member of St. John Fisher College, will be honored with the Distinguished Achievement Award, given by the Alumni Board of Haverford College, his alma mater. He will be formally honored during Alumni Weekend on June 1, 2019 at Haverford College.

Pharmacy Offers Avenues for Student Involvement Members of Phi Delta Chi host a health fair.

02/11/2019 - Of the dozen or so student organizations in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, third-year student Hailey Button is involved in roughly half of them. An active member of several pharmacy fraternities, the School’s student government, and a group that raises funds for 13thirty Cancer Connect, she’s involved in service, leadership, and professional organizations on campus.

History Made! Teddi Dance Raises Record $100K for Camp Good Days and Special Times Children from Camp Good Days and Special Times help reveal the total of $100,395.18 raised during the 2019 Teddi Dance for Love.

02/11/2019 - More than 500 dancers. More than 300 songs. A full 24 hours. But for participants of St. John Fisher College’s Teddi Dance for Love, there were no regrets as the group surpassed their goal and raised a record-breaking $100,395.18 to benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times.

Fisher Nursing Student Inducted into U.S. Navy At a ceremony held in the Wegmans School of Nursing, senior Allison Pierce was officially inducted into the U.S. Navy.

02/08/2019 - This week’s Countdown to Commencement video features Molly Zies, a native of Waterford, Michigan, who chose Fisher because of the beautiful campus and friendly atmosphere.

An Appetite to Study Abroad Students in Stella Plutino-Calabrese's Italian classes made 22 pounds of pasta from scratch making spaghetti, fettucine, and linguine before sitting and enjoying the meal.

02/07/2019 - This semester, over 60 St. John Fisher College students are studying in Spain, Italy, Ireland, and Australia, marking one of the largest cohorts of students Fisher has sent abroad in one semester. The study abroad program has seen an increase in interest; in part, due to the expanded efforts of program director, Dr. Stella Plutino-Calabrese.

Biology Student Awarded Summer Research Fellowship Maura Connorton and Dr. Ed Freeman

02/06/2019 - Maura Connorton ’20, a junior studying biology at St. John Fisher College, was recently awarded a 2019 Summer Research Fellowship grant through the Endocrine Society.
