At Prelaw Event, Bob Duffy Encourages Students to Engage with Community

The Prelaw Association and Political Science Club recently hosted Bob Duffy, former Rochester mayor and current president of the Rochester Chamber of Commerce, to talk about the importance of civic engagement and giving back to the community.
The event, which drew about 50 students, faculty, and staff, underscored Duffy’s passion for solving the issues facing the Rochester community today. Duffy, who currently serves on the steering committee for the Rochester Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative, drew on his decades-long involvement in community development and law enforcement during his talk.
