Countdown to Commencement: Julia Greene

April 30, 2018

The final featured senior in our Countdown to Commencement video series is Julia Greene, a psychology major with a minor in sustainability. She was nominated by Dr. Michael Boller, associate professor of biology and sustainability program director.

Greene came to Fisher undeclared, but quickly fell in love with the psychology department and declared her major. She also became an advocate for sustainability on campus and landed on sustainability as her minor.

She is a very involved student and has been from her first day on campus. During her first semester of her freshman year, she became a student ambassador and has done that all four years. In addition, she served as Student Orientation Coordinator, Great Beginnings volunteer, member of the Center for Sustainability, and president of Psychology Club.

Boller nominated Greene for many reasons, but it has been her dedication to making Fisher a better place that has stood out.

“One thing I will remember most about Julia is her enthusiasm to help other people and the environment,” Boller says.

Greene’s advice to other students is simple: keep finding out what you like and keep finding more.

“Involvement is the absolute key to everything,” she says.
