Academic Scholarship
Dr. Ann Marie Fallon, dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, will have a chapter included in The Cambridge Companion to ‘Robinson Crusoe,’ which explores the enduring popularity of Daniel Defoe’s 1719 classic, Robison Crusoe. The book will be available for purchase in June 2018. Read more…

Appointments and Accolades
Dr. Marilyn L. Dollinger, executive associate dean of the Wegmans School of Nursing, was recently appointed to the New York State Nursing Program Evaluation Committee. Read more…

Christian A. Cassara ’12, an upcoming graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law, was selected to serve as the student speaker at the School’s commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 20. Read more…
Alumnus, Kevin G. Johnson, Esq. ’02, was elected in November 2017 as supervisor of the Town of Sweden. At ceremony held in January 2018, President Emeritus Dr. Donald E. Bain, who taught Johnson while he pursued a bachelor’s degree at Fisher, presided over the event and helped swear him into his new role. Read more…
Alumnus Dan Kane, an investigative journalist at The News & Observer of Raleigh, North Carolina, was recently honored by The Drake Group, an organization committed to defending academic integrity in higher education. Kane was honored as the 2018 recipient of the Drake Hero Award, given during the group’s Awards Luncheon on Friday, April 13. Read more…
