At the end of the two-day event, one of Fisher’s teams earned the Spirit of AMTA Award, given to a single team for their respectable and professional demeanor in the courtroom.

“These are qualities that reflect highly of the students involved as well as the Fisher community as a whole,” said Jane Snyder, visiting assistant professor in the Department of Political Science and Legal Studies, and adviser for the Mock Trial team.

Fisher’s Team B, which won the spirit award, includes William Wicks, Alison Beck, Paul Poresky, Andrew Terleckey, Jullian Latocha, Lyndsey Murray, Maddie Cruver, Hannah Buschner, and Angela Hess.

Fisher’s Team A includes Katie Smith, Reid Collins, Cassidy Geffert, Matt Jeffries, Chelsea Sinclair, Mallory Eymer, Courtney Bow, Justine Brower, and Schaylyn Passino.

Both teams practiced at least twice a week throughout the academic year and worked with alumni Steve Lucia and Michael Cunliffe to prepare for the competitions.
