Fisher Goes “Bald for Bucks”

For the third year in a row, members of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy will snip, clip, or shave their hair in an effort to support local patients battling cancer. It all happens during the annual Bald for Bucks event, scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, April 16, at Shooters Bar (1226 Fairport Road, Fairport).

To participate, attendees are asked to raise a minimum of $50 to donate hair (shave or cut at least eight inches) and raise a minimum of $75 to earn a pink hair extension.

All proceeds will benefit cancer research and patient care programs at the Wilmot Cancer Center and Roswell Park Cancer Institute, as well as teen and young adult support programs through 13thirty Cancer Connect.

To date, the team has raised more than $1,880 toward their $5,000 goal. Register online to join the fundraising effort or attend the event for the chance to win one of 20 raffle baskets and enjoy $5 food specials.
