Tyson’s Research Earns Best Manuscript Award
A research article co-authored by Dr. Thomas Tyson was selected for the 2017 Robert W. Gibson Manuscript Award, given by the Accounting History Special Interest Group of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand and editorial board members of Accounting History.
The article, “The debate between postmodernism and historiography: An accounting historian’s manifesto,” was praised for its “significant contribution to the accounting history literature.”
Tyson, a professor of accounting in the School of Business, co-wrote the paper with Dr. David McCollum-Oldroyd, a professor of accounting at the Newcastle University Business School, located in the United Kingdom.
The article will be published in the August 2018 issue of Accounting History.
