Recycle Old Electronics Now through Feb. 11

February 1, 2019

Do you have old personal electronics that you want to properly recycle? Bring them to campus to contribute to the 9th Annual E-Scrap for Camp drive, happening now through Monday, Feb. 11.

Sponsored by Sunnking, Inc., E-Scrap for Camp works with business and organizations in Rochester and Buffalo to collect old electronics for recycling. For every pound of electronics that Sunnking recycles, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Camp Good Days and Special Times.

Last year, Fisher added 1,331 lbs. to an area-wide total of 519,166 lbs., which raised $12,457 for Camp.

You can drop off your materials in the Integrated Science and Health Sciences Building Recycling Room (first floor nearest to the road) by appointment. Email sustainability@sjfc.edu to set up an appointment.

Acceptable items include desktop and laptop computers, cellphones, tablets, cameras, office machinery including printers and answering machines, and stereos, and game consoles, among other items. View the E-scrap for Camp Acceptable E-recycling Materials List [pdf].

Fisher’s participation in E-Scrap for Camp is supported by the Center for Sustainability. To receive all sustainability emails, subscribe to the recyclinginfo distribution list by logging into Fish 'R' Net, going to Personal Information, and clicking Manage Email Distribution List Subscriptions.
