From published research to community outreach, Fisher faculty, staff, students, and alumni continue to make headlines. Here’s a roundup of their latest successes and achievements.

Academic Scholarship

George Roba ’18, a biology and psychology major, won second place for the John C. Johnson Award for Excellence in Student Research at the national TriBeta Biological Honor Society National Convention. Read More: Student Earns Second Place for Excellence in Research Award

Dr. Tim Madigan, professor and chair of the Department of Philosophy and Classical Studies, was published in the 2018 issue of The New York Sociologist, the online, peer-reviewed journal of the New York State Sociological Association. Read More: Madigan Published in New York Sociologist

Dr. Kristen Love, visiting assistant professor in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education, published an article in the Rural Special Education Quarterly. Read More: Special Education Journal Features Education Professor’s Research

Appointments and Accolades

Dr. Anna Ratka, professor and associate dean of academic affairs at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, was elected the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Pharmaceutical Research (APhA-APRS) as Science Basic Science Chair-Elect. Highlights
