Watts Receives Research Grant

Dr. Omar Watts, associate professor of accounting, received a research grant from the American Institute of CPAs’ Assurance Research Advisory Group.

Now in its second year, the grants support research that address important assurance topics and enhance audit quality. Watts’ research was one of three projects selected from a national pool of 16 submissions.

Watts’ research, “Analyzing the Audit Risk Assessment Process: Real World Insights” is being conducted in collaboration with Dr. Mark Beasley, professor of accounting at North Carolina State University.
