The Orientation program is designed to help students discover what Fisher has to offer, connect with their peers, and engage in the many opportunities on campus.

Saturday, Aug. 31: Move-In Day

The first day of Orientation focuses on introductions and making connections so students can start to get comfortable on campus.

Sessions and events include New Student Welcome, meeting the Orientation Leaders, Floor and Commuter meetings, and fun evening activities.

  • All first-year students will receive more information about Orientation by email the week of August 12.
  • Resident students receive their time and location to move-in and check-in for Orientation from the Office of Residential Life.
  • Commuters should plan to check in for Orientation at noon in the Campus Center and stay through after dinner activities.

Orientation sessions for students start at 2 p.m., so family members should plan to depart campus by then. We will see you again at Alumni and Family Weekend!

Sunday, Sept. 1

The second day of Orientation features all of the things students will need to know to be safe and knowledgeable about Fisher.  Students will also meet staff members who will help support their Fisher journey.

Sessions and events include technology prep, learning about clubs and organizations, meeting key staff members from Safety and Security, Student Conduct, and Title IX, Chapel Night, carnival dinner and games, and Target Take-Over.
