What to Expect from Orientation 2019

August 1, 2019

Transfer Student Orientation begins on Monday, Sept. 2, marking the start of your transition to St. John Fisher College.

A sign welcomes students to orientation.

The Orientation program is designed to help you discover what Fisher has to offer, connect with your peers, and engage in the many opportunities on campus.

Monday, Sept. 2

Transfer students check in at the Campus Center at noon and Orientation starts with lunch!  Join us for campus sessions focusing on the student experience, academic success, campus resources, and more.  Formal sessions end at 5 p.m. but you are welcome to stay for dinner and our after dinner activities!

Sessions include academic information, campus tours, clubs and organizations, meeting key staff members from Safety and Security, Student Conduct, and Title IX.

Reminders:

  • Transfer Orientation is intended for transfer students. Families should not plan to participate in Orientation but we’d love to see you at Alumni and Family Weekend.
  • Meals are included as part of your Orientation afternoon.
  • All transfer students will receive more information about Orientation by email the week of August 12.
  • Don’t forget to submit your immunization information to the Health and Wellness Center.
