Nursing Graduates Once Again Surpass State, National NCLEX Pass Rates A patch on the uniform students wear at the Wegmans School of Nursing..

02/14/2021 - The St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Nursing saw 184 of its graduates take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) in 2020 and of those, 182 passed on their first attempt, helping the School to achieve a 98.91 percent pass rate.

02/08/2021 - Three members of the St. John Fisher College community are serving on the Finger Lakes COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force. Dr. Yvette Conyers, assistant professor in the Wegmans School of Nursing and president of the Rochester Black Nurses Association; Dr. Christine Birnie, dean of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy; and Dr. Alex DeLucenay, associate professor in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy and president of the Pharmacy Society of Rochester, joined the task force this January.

Pharmacy Alumna Tapped as Chief Pharmacist for Monroe County Department of Public Health Dr. Joy Snyder

01/21/2021 - Dr. Joy Snyder ’18 (Pharm.D.) was recently tapped to serve as chief pharmacist for the Monroe County Department of Public Health. In this newly created role in the Department, Snyder will help oversee county vaccination efforts and outreach projects that use her skills in both pharmacy and public health.

12/18/2020 - Dr. Alex DeLucenay, associate professor of pharmacy practice at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, served on the team of pharmacists administering the first COVID-19 vaccine doses to high-risk colleagues in the intensive care units, emergency department, and COVID floors at Rochester General Hospital (RGH).
