
06/12/2020 - Fourth-year pharmacy student Gillian Eppinger was completing her Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) rotation at Hilton Family Pharmacy when a customer experienced a medical emergency. Drawing on the knowledge she has gained during her studies, she was able to jump in and help. She shares her experiences here.

06/10/2020 - When Dylan MacQuoid ’20 began his first year at St. John Fisher College, the United States was just two months away from the 2016 presidential election. A political science and media and communication major, there was no better time to be studying politics and civic engagement.

06/09/2020 - Dr. Tara Sacco, visiting assistant professor in the Wegmans School of Nursing, was recently recognized by the Eastern Nursing Research Society (ENRS) for excellence in nursing research.

06/03/2020 - In five years, St. John Fisher College alumna Katie Smith ’20 hopes to be either a criminal defense attorney or working at a private law firm. A recipient of the Service Scholarship, Smith was a legal studies and history double major with a minor in ethics.

06/02/2020 - Each year, St. John Fisher College honors graduating seniors for their academic successes. Among the Class of 2020, eight students who graduated in August 2019, December 2019, and May 2020 were recognized for exceptional academic performance. These are the highest honors bestowed to baccalaureate students during their time at the College.

05/21/2020 - The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education at St. John Fisher College received a full six-year accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Education Preparation (CAEP). Fisher is among just 21 colleges in New York State with CAEP accreditation.

05/15/2020 - Dr. Gerard J. Rooney, president of St. John Fisher College, was selected as the recipient of the University at Buffalo’s (UB) Graduate School of Education’s 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award. He was formally honored during the School’s virtual commencement ceremony, held on Friday, May 15.

05/14/2020 - St. John Fisher College has announced that Diana Nole, chief executive officer at Wolters Kluwer Health, has begun her tenure as chair of the Board of Trustees and is the first female to serve in the chair role in the College’s history. Formally vice chair, she has succeeded Jack DePeters ’73, who completed his two-year term as chair on May 8.
