
05/08/2018 - St. John Fisher College alumnus, Kevin G. Johnson, Esq. ’02, was elected in November 2017 as supervisor of the Town of Sweden. He previously held the elected office of Town Councilperson, and then Sweden Town Justice.

05/08/2018 - Christian A. Cassara ’12, an upcoming graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law, was selected to serve as the student speaker at the School’s commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 20.

05/07/2018 - Katelyn Perry ’20 and Colleen Senglaub ’20 were recently named recipients of the 2018 Jack Palvino Excellence in Communication Awards. Given to two students within the Department of Media and Communication at St. John Fisher College, the award recognizes undergraduates who demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for a career in communication.

04/30/2018 - On Sunday, April 29, St. John Fisher College formally rededicated the Peace Lion, and celebrated the installation of a commemorative plaque in honor of Jennifer Patterson Koon.

04/30/2018 - Ferdinand Jay Smith III, longtime member of the St. John Fisher College Board of Trustees, was recently inducted into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame.

04/26/2018 - Fisher students Alyssa Buck, Shania Oliver, and Allison Smith were recently honored as the 2018 recipients of the Ann B. & Martin F. Birmingham Student Volunteer Recognition Award.

04/23/2018 - The newest graduates of St. John Fisher College’s Ed.D. in Executive Leadership program at the Onondaga Community College extension site celebrated their degree completions during a ceremony held on Thursday, April 12.

04/19/2018 - A $9,000 gift from advertising guru Sharon Napier ’81 will help St. John Fisher College students head to the Annual Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) National Conference in Austin, Texas this fall.

04/19/2018 - The Justinian Order of St. John Fisher College, an academic and legal society for Fisher graduates professionally involved in legal fields, held its civic luncheon for members of the judiciary, the bar, government, law enforcement, and the business sector on Thursday, April 12, at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.

04/18/2018 - Dan Kane, an investigative journalist at The News & Observer of Raleigh, North Carolina, was recently honored by The Drake Group, an organization committed to defending academic integrity in higher education. Kane was honored as the 2018 recipient of the Drake Hero Award, given during the group’s Awards Luncheon on Friday, April 13.
