
12/14/2018 - They called themselves the “First Borns.” Members of Cohort 1 of the Ed.D. in Executive Leadership, offered through the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education, are self-described risk-taking pioneers with a passion for education and knowledge.

11/20/2018 - This fall, the New York State English Council named Dr. Joellen Maples its collegiate 2018 Educator of Excellence. The Council, which brings together language arts educators at all levels pre-K through college to offer professional development and share best practices, praised Maples for her leadership in the classroom, mentorship of teachers new to the profession, and for inspiring her students to become skillful readers and writers.

11/14/2018 - Since its inception, Crowdfunding@Fisher has helped the community come together to support causes they truly believe in. Launched in spring 2018, the efforts help groups of Fisher students, faculty, staff, and alumni raise money for college-based and affiliated initiatives and projects.

10/26/2018 - On Saturday, Nov. 3, St. John Fisher College will host TEDxSJFC from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Basil 135.

10/25/2018 - St. John Fisher College faculty and staff members will offer short presentations along the theme of justice during the Fall 2018 Teach-In.

10/16/2018 - Two members of the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education delivered talks to 60 new school administrators during the Central New York Region Leadership Symposium.

10/05/2018 - With the launch of The Fisher Edge in fall 2018, the Office of Institutional Advancement, in collaboration with the Center for Career and Academic Planning, joined the initiative by launching Cardinal Connections, a new online platform that connects alumni and students with the purpose of providing meaningful avenues for mentorship and guidance.

10/04/2018 - Niche.com, a major research and ranking site, has ranked St. John Fisher College No. 29 among the Colleges with the Best Professors in New York for 2019.

09/24/2018 - On July 12-13, the Pyramid Model Summit, which was led by Dr. Lynn Lubecki, brought together 80 early childhood education professionals, who were organized by a group of community providers.

09/21/2018 - St. John Fisher College will host a College-wide, two-day initiative, The Albatross Project, focused on sustainability on Tuesday, Oct. 9 and Wednesday, Oct. 10.
