02/21/2019 - This fall, St. John Fisher College will offer a new online Master of Science in Strategic Communication degree program, providing advanced knowledge in public relations, advertising, and marketing for individuals seeking leadership positions in agencies, corporations, and non-profits. Applications are currently being accepted for the inaugural fall 2019 cohort.

02/18/2019 - Each year, the Honors Program publishes The Review, Fisher’s undergraduate research journal featuring original, scholarly work from students. The submission period for the 2019 issue is now open, and the editors are encouraging students from across Schools and disciplines to consider submitting.

02/18/2019 - Now in its second year, the FIS(HER) program intends to provide a forum for St. John Fisher College students to develop new tools and concrete strategies to overcome gender-based obstacles. The event takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, in Golisano Gateway Midlevel. It is free and open to the Fisher community.

02/07/2019 - This semester, over 60 St. John Fisher College students are studying in Spain, Italy, Ireland, and Australia, marking one of the largest cohorts of students Fisher has sent abroad in one semester. The study abroad program has seen an increase in interest; in part, due to the expanded efforts of program director, Dr. Stella Plutino-Calabrese.

Newest Seward Scholar has Passion for PR Alyssa Whitley ’19

12/07/2018 - This fall, Fisher’s Department of Media and Communication selected Alyssa Whitley ’19 as the recipient of the James E. Seward Scholarship. Carrying a $1,000 award, the scholarship honors Jim Seward and his 41 years of college teaching, 29 of which were spent at Fisher. The scholarship was established by former students, friends, and colleagues within the department when he retired in 2011.
