
11/13/2019 - In October, members of the Computer Science Club participated in the CyberSEED 2019 Cyber Security Competition and Conference. This was the first time Fisher students participated in a competition of this magnitude, where typical competitors represent schools like MIT, John Hopkins University, and Georgia Tech.

10/17/2019 - Dr. Candice Gerstner, a 2006 alumna of St. John Fisher College, was among the recipients of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).

10/16/2019 - St. John Fisher College, in partnership with Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC), aims to alleviate the teacher shortage in high-needs rural districts through its newly created Noyce INSPIRE Scholarship Program.

09/13/2019 - This fall, St. John Fisher College students will see 13 new faculty members in their classes.

09/09/2019 - St. John Fisher College earned a place on the U.S. News & World Report’s annual “America’s Best Colleges” feature, making the grade for its value, quality educational opportunities, and support of veterans, among other characteristics.

08/13/2019 - Houston, Texas native Alexa Montemayor landed a job as a dental assistant in Rochester for the summer, but she was also looking for an opportunity to stay engaged with Fisher in between semesters. Working with faculty mentor Professor Jonathan Millen, visiting assistant professor of biology, she secured a spot in the College’s Summer Research Fellows program and combined her day job and her research.

08/06/2019 - A change in plans led one biochemistry student to bioinformatics research.

08/01/2019 - For two months this summer, a Fisher faculty and student trio were deep in lab work and research in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at the University of Notre Dame, thanks to funding provided by the College’s Center for Student Research and Creative Work as well as the University Radiation Medicine Foundation.
