04/19/2018 - The Justinian Order of St. John Fisher College, an academic and legal society for Fisher graduates professionally involved in legal fields, held its civic luncheon for members of the judiciary, the bar, government, law enforcement, and the business sector on Thursday, April 12, at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.

04/19/2018 - Students in the St. John Fisher College Sport Management program joined together with parents, alumni, faculty, and industry professionals for the Annual Sport Management Banquet on Friday, April 6 at Oak Hill Country Club. The celebration included recognition of student accomplishments and featured a panel of industry experts discussing the future of sports in Rochester.

04/17/2018 - Dr. Randall Curren, professor of philosophy at the University of Rochester, will discuss the ethical heart of sustainability during the annual Joseph A. Trovato Lecture, sponsored by the Ethics and Sustainability Minor programs at St. John Fisher College. The lecture is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, in Basil 135.

Workshop Aims to “Challenge the Paradigm” Gabriella Kielbasinski

04/09/2018 - St. John Fisher College student Gabriella Kielbasinski is on a mission to empower her peers. With the rise of gender equality movements across the country, she has organized FIS(HER), a one-day workshop aimed at providing women with the strategies and skills needed to combat gender-based obstacles. The workshop, which features four mini topic sessions, is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 9, in Basil 135.

National Book Award Winner Delivers 2018 Lobene Lecture in the Humanities Dr. Ibram Kendi

03/28/2018 - National Book Award winner Dr. Ibram X. Kendi will deliver his talk, “How to be an Antiracist,” during the 2018 Lobene Lecture in the Humanities, to be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 20, in Cleary Family Auditorium in Kearney Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Events Commemorate Visionary Work of Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King Jr.

03/26/2018 - The St. John Fisher College community will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s death with a series of events, SJFCMLK50: Rise Up! Know Justice, Know Peace, planned from Wednesday, April 4 through Tuesday, April 10. All events are free and open to the public.
