
10/11/2020 - Through the month of October, white and red flags line LeChase Commons in an effort to raise awareness of domestic violence. An initiative of the College’s Peer Support Team, the red flags represent unhealthy relationships and the white display bystander intervention messages.

10/08/2020 - This week, College News’ #ClubCorner features the Black Student Union. Also known as BSU, this club gives people of color a voice at Fisher, and aims to educate the campus community about the experience of being a black student on the Fisher campus. BSU supports black students, affirms their culture, and offers a safe space for students to share their views and opinions, as well as voice changes they want to see implemented on campus.

10/07/2020 - This fall, the 2020-2021 Student Government Association (SGA) Executive Board welcomes new members into key positions. The new executive board is ready to work with the College’s student organizations to foster openness and inclusion, and create engaging campus events.

10/06/2020 - The PRIMA Group, St. John Fisher College’s student-run integrated advertising, public relations, and marketing firm, will host a panel discussion on diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

10/03/2020 - The Health and Social Impact Career Fair will take place virtually from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

10/02/2020 - The Office of Campus Ministry and Institute for Civic and Community Engagement are teaming up to sponsor a school supply drive for three Rochester City School District elementary schools. The drive runs through Sunday, Oct. 18.

10/01/2020 - St. John Fisher College’s Political Action Club, otherwise known as PAC, is a bipartisan club focused on connecting students to their interests. On the surface, students may think that this club is just a place to talk politics, but PAC focuses on giving students the opportunity to talk about topics and engage in projects that interest them.

09/24/2020 - According to the Campus Vote Project, “young adults (ages 18-29) made up about 21 percent of the voting eligible population in 2014, but voter turnout for this demographic has reached record lows in recent years.”

09/21/2020 - A popular dining spot for St. John Fisher College students and employees, Cyber Café, received several upgrades this summer, thanks to a $100,000 grant from the Fred L. Emerson Foundation.

09/17/2020 - The 2020 St. John Fisher College Student Film Festival will once again run as part of Rochester’s annual Fringe Festival.
