
11/20/2020 - Throughout the month of October, St. John Fisher College joined eight local colleges for ROCtober, a series of synchronous and asynchronous virtual engagement activities aimed at encouraging students to envision their global future.

11/19/2020 - This week, College News’ #ClubCorner is doing a double feature highlighting Fisher’s chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the Peer Support Team. Both clubs seek to educate students about mental health and cultivate a caring atmosphere on campus.

11/15/2020 - As a freshman at St. John Fisher College, Emily Trotman ’21 had always dreamed of becoming a marketing major. She was inspired by her brother, who majored in marketing as a student at Fisher. She saw the success it brought him, and she loved that it could take her anywhere. From that point on, she had a clear path with what she wanted to do for the foreseeable future.

11/11/2020 - On this Veterans Day, College News honors and thanks all veterans and their families, especially those who are members of our campus community.

11/09/2020 - More than 450 first-generation students currently call St. John Fisher College home. They lead student organizations, conduct research in labs, and volunteer in the community. On Monday, Nov. 9, Fisher joins a nation-wide celebration of first-generation students and the positive impacts they have on campuses across the country.

11/08/2020 - This week in #ClubCorner, College News is highlighting the Muslim Student Alliance. Also known as MSA, this club works to establish a relationship between Muslim and non-Muslim campus community members. It gives Muslims and non-Muslims a chance to get to know more about Islam and other religions that exist.

11/02/2020 - For the first time ever, the St. John Fisher College American Marketing Association (AMA) chapter hosted a weeklong, virtual showcase of career opportunities and highlighted the benefits of AMA membership during its annual Marketing Week. Held in mid-October, the schedule included professional speakers and informational workshops.

10/29/2020 - If you love TikTok, you have probably seen Tia Stokes post a dance or two. Stokes, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in April 2020, pledged to share a dance every day on the platform until she beat the disease. As viewers shared in her journey, they rallied around her, even doing the dance for her on days when she was too ill to do it herself.

10/29/2020 - ANGLES, St. John Fisher College’s national undergraduate literary magazine, is currently accepting submissions for its upcoming issue.

10/28/2020 - This week, College News features the Gaming Club. Fisher’s Gaming Club is a collection of students that believe in relaxation through gaming and socialization. They support both competitive and casual gaming to facilitate a relaxing environment.
