03/18/2019 - This week, St. John Fisher College will celebrate Philanthropy Week, I Heart Fisher Day of Giving, and 50 Days until Graduation. That’s six days of contests, prizes, food, and fun, all designed to demonstrate a shared appreciation for Fisher.

03/18/2019 - Gabriella Kielbasinski says as soon as she visited Fisher, she knew it was the college for her. The political science and Spanish major is our next featured senior in the 2019 Countdown to Commencement series; she was nominated by Dr. Sebastien Lazardeux, professor and chair of the Political Science Department.

03/11/2019 - The next senior in Fisher’s Countdown to Commencement video series is Alyssa Whitley, a transfer student majoring in media management, who has spent her two years on campus immersed in public relations study, both in and outside of the classroom. Whitley was nominated by Arien Rozelle, assistant professor in the Department of Media and Communication.

03/11/2019 - This week, two former members of congress, one democrat and one republican, will spend two days at St. John Fisher College for a series of discussions around timely and important political topics.

03/06/2019 - The 17th annual Relay for Life, sponsored by Colleges Against Cancer (CAC), is right around the corner and the whole campus is invited to attend. Whether it’s your first or seventeenth time, there are several ways to get involved with this incredible fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society and Hope Lodge.

02/25/2019 - Anthony Loussedes has always loved baseball. At Fisher, he found a new path for his sport. Loussedes, a sport management major, is the next senior to be featured in the 2019 Countdown to Commencement series; he was nominated by Jen Granger, business manager and compliance coordinator for the Athletics Department.

02/25/2019 - St. John Fisher College hosted its first-ever Study Abroad Festival in February, raising awareness about the array of study abroad programs available to students. And for 20 lucky students, the festival was an opportunity to apply for a passport through Monroe County, free of charge.

02/22/2019 - Each year, two St. John Fisher College students are selected to win the Diversity Scholarship given by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.

02/22/2019 - As part of the ongoing dialogue around race, equity, inclusion, and diversity, St. John Fisher College will host internationally acclaimed filmmaker Dr. Carvin Eison to present his documentary, “Shadows of the Lynching Tree.” The screening begins at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, in Basil 135. Hosted by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Programs, it is free and open to the public.
