Practitioner Mentoring Program

The Wegmans School of Pharmacy Practitioner Mentoring Program provides an opportunity for first-year students to begin establishing long-term professional relationships with experienced professionals in the field of pharmacy.

P1 (first-year) students wishing to participate will have the opportunity to meet with a practicing pharmacist in a community (outpatient) or institutional (inpatient) setting who has agreed to be a mentor. Mentors will answer questions about their work and provide shadowing opportunities.

Clinically focused mentors in a hospital setting will be coordinated with the student chapter of ACCP.

Independent community based mentors will be coordinated with PSSNY's "Under My Wing" program.

All other mentoring opportunities will be set up by the Office of Experiential Education.
