
10/12/2018 - On Thursday, Oct. 4, Assistant Professor of Media and Communication, Arien Rozelle, and seven students representing Fisher’s Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) traveled to Austin, Texas for the 2018 PRSSA National Conference.

10/12/2018 - The 2018 Loss Science Lecture Series at St. John Fisher College will feature genetics researcher Dr. Martha Susiarjo. Her lecture, “Genomic Imprinting as a Mechanism for Maternal-Fetal Health Programming,” will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, in Basil 135 and is free and open to the public.

10/08/2018 - Dr. Greg Cunningham is an expert on the olfactory senses of birds, having researched how penguins, hawks, and seabird chicks react to different odors. In the next iteration of his research, Cunningham traveled to the Northwest coast of Costa Rica to work with professors from Veritas University to test how fish might react to the scent of a chemical in the water. For this trip, he brought along senior Jenna Keppel, a summer research fellow, to work alongside him.

10/05/2018 - With the launch of The Fisher Edge in fall 2018, the Office of Institutional Advancement, in collaboration with the Center for Career and Academic Planning, joined the initiative by launching Cardinal Connections, a new online platform that connects alumni and students with the purpose of providing meaningful avenues for mentorship and guidance.

09/28/2018 - “Under the Ancient Polish Flag,” an exhibit of images and artifacts, celebrates the contributions that Rochester’s Polish community made to the restoration of a free, independent Poland at the close of World War I.

09/24/2018 - Arien Rozelle, visiting assistant professor of media and communication, was named a fellow with the Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication this summer.

09/24/2018 - During the Society for Terrorism Research’s international conference Dr. Frederick Dotolo, Associate professor of history, presented a work entitled, “The Strategy of the Counterweight: Italy's Sphere of Influence in Yemen, 1928-38.”

09/21/2018 - St. John Fisher College will host a College-wide, two-day initiative, The Albatross Project, focused on sustainability on Tuesday, Oct. 9 and Wednesday, Oct. 10.

09/21/2018 - A workshop and keynote lecture hosted by St. John Fisher College will bring together local experts and business leaders to share ways that companies and organizations can become environmentally and ethically sustainable.

09/21/2018 - Dr. Robert Dunbar, visiting instructor of religious studies at St. John Fisher College, will kick off the fall 2018 First Friday Lecture Series as he delivers a talk on Islam and the Muslim world.
