
04/17/2018 - The Upsilon Rho chapter of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society held its 2018 Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, March 28. The event included a welcome from the chair of the Biology Department, Dr. Daryl Hurd, and an introduction by the chapter advisor, Dr. Noveera Ahmed.

04/17/2018 - Dr. Randall Curren, professor of philosophy at the University of Rochester, will discuss the ethical heart of sustainability during the annual Joseph A. Trovato Lecture, sponsored by the Ethics and Sustainability Minor programs at St. John Fisher College. The lecture is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, in Basil 135.

04/11/2018 - The next featured senior in our Countdown to Commencement video series is Kaitlyn Mazierski, a Spanish and education major. She was nominated by Kelly Greapentrog, the women’s volleyball coach.

04/11/2018 - The 2018 Fast Forward Film Festival will feature two films created by students from St. John Fisher College. Films will be screened on Friday, April 13, at The Little Theatre, and winners will be announced during the Festival Gala on Saturday, April 14, at the George Eastman Museum.

04/09/2018 - On Wednesday, April 4, His Eminence Joseph Cardinal Tobin, archbishop of Newark, New Jersey, delivered a lecture at St. John Fisher College, exploring the ministry of Pope Francis.

04/09/2018 - St. John Fisher College student Gabriella Kielbasinski is on a mission to empower her peers. With the rise of gender equality movements across the country, she has organized FIS(HER), a one-day workshop aimed at providing women with the strategies and skills needed to combat gender-based obstacles. The workshop, which features four mini topic sessions, is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 9, in Basil 135.

03/29/2018 - Dr. Lynn Donahue and Dr. Tim Madigan were recently awarded Richmond Summer Visiting Faculty Fellowships from Richmond, The American International University in London.

03/28/2018 - National Book Award winner Dr. Ibram X. Kendi will deliver his talk, “How to be an Antiracist,” during the 2018 Lobene Lecture in the Humanities, to be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 20, in Cleary Family Auditorium in Kearney Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public.

03/28/2018 - Two student organizations at St. John Fisher College—student-run agency, The PRIMA Group, and the Tom Proietti Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)—commemorated Women’s History Month through the third annual LEAD #LikeAGirl Women in Leadership series.

03/27/2018 - The PRIMA Group, St. John Fisher College’s student-run agency, held the 5th Annual Gilda’s Cup this past Saturday raising more than $2,000 for Gilda’s Club Rochester.
