Each piece of content on a page has a unique ID number that can be used to link directly to that content from outside of T4.
NOTE! What follows is only to be used if you are creating a link for use OUTSIDE of T4. If you want to link WITHIN T4 to a particular piece of content, use the Insert Content Link functionality.
The following training video will show you how to determine the ID number of a specific piece of content, so that you can link directly to that content outside of T4 [video length: 00:03:00].
You want to link outside of T4 to a specific piece of content inside T4.
For example, imagine you want to email a link to the specific content related to "Document Title Missing" on the Policy Matches in Siteimprove page, as shown in the screenshot.
Since the information you want to link to is its own piece of content, that content has a unique ID number that you can use in your link from the email. The formula for a link to a particular piece of content is as follows:
www.sjfc.edu/[full-path-to-page]/#d.en.XXXXX (where XXXXX is the ID number)
Follow the instructions below to find the ID number of your piece of content.
Once you have the ID number, add it to the full URL of the page containing the content, being sure to precede the ID number with #d.en. In this example, the link to the intended piece of content is: https://www.sjfc.edu/training/siteimprove-training/policy-matches/#d.en.28711
