Documents and PDFs in T4
When adding or removing documents or PDFs to the Media Library, keep the following processes in mind.

Adding a New Document to T4
Consider the following before adding a new document to T4.
- Consider whether a PDF/document is the best way to share this information with users.
- Make sure the document has a descriptive document title (best before converting to PDF).
- Save your document with a good file name (no spaces, and usually no dates).
- Reduce the document file size for the best user experience.
- Upload your new document to the T4 Media Library.
- Add the document to your page.
Replacing an Existing Document in T4
Consider the following when replacing an existing document in T4.
- Make sure the document has a descriptive document title (best before converting to PDF).
- Find the file you are replacing in the Media Library and copy the file name.
- Save the document with the exact same file name as the document you are replacing.
- Reduce the document file size for the best user experience.
- Update the existing document in the T4 Media Library.
Inactivating or Removing Existing Documents in T4
Consider the following when inactivating or removing documents from T4.
- Check the Usage tab to see all the places that are linking to your document.
- Remove the link to your document from ALL the places that link to it. If you don't have access to a section linking to it, contact that section manager.
- Once nothing is linking to your document on the Usage tab, inactivate it.
- If you need to, you can always reactivate an inactive document.
