2024 Lecture: Whole Souled Women - Amy Post and Harriet Jacobs

Autumn Haag, assistant director, Department of Rare Books, Special Collections, and Preservation at the River Campus Libraries of the University of Rochester, will deliver a lecture on Amy Post and Harriet Jacobs. While the two women came from different worlds, they met, lived, and worked together in Rochester. Together they navigated the racial climate of the time, their friendship, the pressures of being a Black author, and cross racial activism.
