About St. John Fisher University

As an independent institution in the Catholic tradition of American higher education, Fisher emphasizes the liberal arts, offering programs in traditional academic disciplines as well as more directly career-oriented fields.

Wilson, Jr. School of Education; the Wegmans School of Nursing; and the Wegmans School of Pharmacy. Each School is accredited by regional, national, and/or international accrediting bodies. Fisher offers undergraduate majors in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, business, education, and nursing, as well as several pre-professional programs. The University also offers a variety of master's and doctoral programs; and several fully online programs.

Fisher is known for producing graduates who are not only successful, but also a positive force in the region, across the state, and throughout the nation.

Fisher prepares you to meet the challenges of an increasingly complex world. The liberal nature of a Fisher education means you'll acquire valuable communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills in addition to thorough comprehension within your chosen course of study.

In general, class sizes are small, so you won't get lost in the crowd. You'll get personal attention from Fisher's faculty, who are selected for their teaching excellence, scholarly initiatives, and commitment to students.

Fisher is a community where all are welcome, regardless of religious or cultural background. If you are a motivated, passionate student willing to invest time and effort in yourself, your education, and your future, you will thrive here.
