Now in its 13th year, the report offers a practical analysis of 735 four-year, public and private nonprofit colleges and universities. For the 2026 ranking, Fisher earned a 4.0 on the publication’s five-star ranking system.
To be considered, colleges must: have at least 500 undergraduate students or 150 freshmen; have sufficient, reliable data to be analyzed; be financially sound; have a graduation rate that was at or above the median for its institutional category.
