Top Spot: Niche.com Ranks Fisher Best College Food in New York Once Again

St. John Fisher University’s Fisher Dining Services has maintained the No. 1 spot as the Best College Food in New York For the ninth consecutive year, according to Niche.com’s 2027 rankings. Fisher’s residence halls also stayed among the top three Best College Dorms in New York clinching the No. 3 spot in the state.
Fisher Dining offers a variety of options for students at dining locations across the University including Ward-Haffey Dining Hall, Fisher Sub Shoppe, Cyber Café, Sono Latin Grill, Haff Caff, Beak’s Bites in Lavery Library, and new this year, Blends and Bowls (formerly Pioch Café).
“Fisher Dining is incredibly proud to once again be recognized as the No. 1 college for food in New York state, but what makes me most proud is the team behind that recognition. Our people come to work every day focused on creating a great experience for our students, and this ranking is a reflection of that collective effort. From our culinary team preparing the food to everyone who serves and supports our students, it takes all of us working together. Great food is certainly part of what we do, but ultimately it’s about the people, the relationships we build, and making dining an important part of the Fisher experience,” said Joel Kraft, director of dining services.
For residential students living on campus, Fisher’s nine residence halls each have unique qualities, but all share common features, including laundry facilities, comfortable television and study lounges with wireless access, and kitchen areas. From singles and doubles to suites, each hall houses between 50 and 200 students.
At the national level, Fisher Dining Services and the Sport Management Department have reason to be proud as both were ranked among the top 100 in their categories; Fisher Dining landing at No. 11 for Best College Food in America and the Sport Management Department ranking No. 60 on the Best Colleges for Sport Management in America list. Across New York state, the University also enjoyed several Top 30 accolades, with No. 5 for Best College Campuses; No. 7 Best Colleges for Nursing; and No. 15 Best Colleges for Accounting and Finance among the honors.
