Clothesline Project Commemoration

The Clothesline Project is a national program that addresses the persistence of gender-based violence through a collective, public art project.

Date: Wednesday, October 22, 2025
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Location: Lavery Library

Survivors and allies express their emotions and share their experiences by decorating a t-shirt that will hang among others one a clothesline. This year, the Gender and Sexuality Studies program commissioned a quilt made from dozens of t-shirts displayed on campus over the years.

Campus members can add their own t-shirt to the exhibit. T-shirts and markers are available at Fay 102, Fay 109, Fay 204, and Pioch 119.

The quilt will be commemorated during a ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, and will be on display in Lavery Library.
