Period Poverty with FFA

Watch the YouTube documentary, "Pandora's Box," to learn and talk about period poverty, unfair labor, and the educational and environmental gaps that occur as a result of periods and period products.

Date: Tuesday, April 4, 2023
Time: 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Basil 219

As many as one in five girls report missing school due to a lack of period products, and the average woman will throw away 125-150kg of trash related to disposable period products annually.

FFA will give away free June menstrual cups and will be collecting donations of hygiene products for the Bethany House, a women's shelter in Rochester. Bringing products to donate is not required, but is highly encouraged if an option for students.

Chipotle and Crumbl will be served.
