Bio

Dr. Conn joined the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration in August 2015. Her areas of interest include public health pharmacy, medication adherence and beliefs about medications. She currently directs a Public Health Pharmacy Fellowship, a partnership between the WSOP and the Monroe County Department of Public Health.  

Her areas of teaching focus on evidence-based medicine including critical evaluation of medical literature, epidemiology, biostatistics, and research methods. She has worked in clinical research for over 15 years and is experienced in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. 

Dr. Conn's research involves public health pharmacy including community-based programs, beliefs about medications, health literacy, patient-provider communication, and the role of technology in health care.  She is currently involved in the implementation and evaluation of community initiatives to understand and promote the role of pharmacists in public health as well as identifying factors related to medication adherence. Dr. Conn also studies areas of pharmacy curriculum including the role of evidence-based medicine and literature evaluation in pharmacy practice. 

Dr. Conn has successfully mentored students, authored and co-authored articles and poster presentations in areas such as the role of pharmacists in public health departments, the relationship between beliefs about medications and medication adherence, adolescent knowledge of over-the-counter medications, and the impact of community-based asthma interventions. She is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy and American Public Health Association.
