Dr. Phillips is currently Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at St. John Fisher University's Wegmans School of Pharmacy in Rochester New York. She joined the faculty at SJF in 2008 and her clinical specialty area is Ambulatory Care, with a focus on cardiovascular risk reduction and diabetes management. She currently serves as the Residency Program Director (RPD) for an ASHP accredited post-graduate year 2 (PGY-2) Ambulatory Care residency, affiliated with Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY, which began in 2011. Dr. Phillips has spent the last 24 years developing and fostering a collaborative ambulatory care practice, which has served as a training site for pharmacy students and residents. Dr. Phillips has mentored and fostered numerous faculty and colleagues in ambulatory care practice over the years. She has been an advocate for expanding the pharmacist’s scope of practice and her work in Ambulatory Care served as part of the NYS CDTM demonstration project and the outcomes data from pharmacist-led initiatives at the site were included in report to the Department of Education that helped get CDTM as part of the pharmacist scope of practice. In her role as Chair, she oversees 21+ faculty in the practice and pharmacy administration disciplines. During her tenure as Chair, she has worked to oversee the development of the online pathway curriculum for the PPA Department.

She has been the recipient of several awards, including Teacher of the Year (2013), PSSNY, Excellence in Innovation Award (2013), Presidents Clinical Team of the Year Award –SUNY Upstate Medical University (2014).
