M.S. in Inclusive Childhood Education

Dual certification as a teacher is just 21 months away when you choose to enroll full-time in the master’s degree program in inclusive childhood education education at Fisher.

In less than two years, Fisher’s inclusive childhood education program will qualify you for initial certification in childhood education, as well as certification to teach students with disabilities in grades 1-6. This program is available to graduates from any bachelor’s level major. No matter what undergraduate degree degree you hold, you can begin your journey to become a teacher!

Because we know you’re busy, all classes are offered online or in a hybrid format so you can work full-time while completing your degree.

Curriculum Overview

The graduate-level childhood education curriculum includes classes focused on the nature of inclusive education as well as those specific to childhood education. You will develop the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to effectively teach all students, including those with exceptional learning needs.

Field experience and student teaching provide the professional experience you need to start your teaching career confidently.

The inclusive childhood education curriculum is certified by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
