St. John Fisher University offers all who come here a vital learning community focused on intellectual growth, personal enrichment, and civic engagement. Our unified living-learning environment seeks to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere where students, faculty, and staff interact with ideas, with each other, and with people from all walks of life. Our faculty and strong curriculum challenge students in a supportive environment, and our extracurricular opportunities allow students to expand their horizons in a variety of ways. Our classes are small, providing ample interaction between faculty and students inside the classroom. And our focus on experiential learning takes students out into the world to learn from practitioners and to widen their perspectives.

Students can also enjoy Rochester’s cultural amenities while in proximity to beautiful Lake Ontario and the scenic Finger Lakes Region. The region provides ample opportunities to experience the outdoors, to engage in a wide variety of recreational activities, and to attend music events, theater performances, and museums.  And, our campus provides a rich array of clubs and organizations, all of which connect students to events off campus and open doors to interesting learning opportunities.

We at St. John Fisher University are proud of our rich liberal arts tradition, our strong professional undergraduate and graduate programs, and the success of our graduates. Moreover, we are dedicated to our current students as they are transformed to live more meaningful and productive lives. As our mission states, we are a “collaborative community dedicated to teaching, learning, and scholarship in a student-centered educational environment.”
