As a mom raising four children and working a full-time job, Jessica Lyon was looking for a convenient way to balance her already busy life while advancing her career. She found the perfect fit to achieve her goals in the RN to BSN program at Fisher. “The fully online program helped me maintain great work-life balance in the process,” she explained.

Lyon also appreciated the flexibility to complete the RN to BSN program at her own pace. “If you need to take it slower or speed up the program, the program is very flexible and the instructors are supportive.”

Graduates of the RN to BSN program learn to integrate critical thinking and decision-making throughout the nursing process to improve the care of patients, and Lyon believes she is a better nurse after completing the program. “I gained critical thinking and problem-solving skills that I did not have when I entered this program.”

She recommends the program to any RN who would like to advance their career. “This program helped me see that my career goals were achievable, and it showed me that I am a leader every day.”

Catherine Conroy obtained her first nursing degree from a two-year institution, and she always desired to further herself academically to provide the best care for her patients. The RN to BSN program at Fisher allowed her to develop professionally and personally while balancing her work and personal life.

Conroy valued the clinical experiences that were directly associated with the course objectives. “As a professional who works in a non-traditional setting, the professors were accommodating to ensure that my experiences were relatable and applicable to my professional setting.”

The RN to BSN program offers the convenience of fully online study while fostering interprofessional communication and collaboration among students. “Courses encouraged and supported an environment that allowed fellow students to connect and learn from one another,” explained Conroy. “I would highly recommend this program because I feel that the professors were very knowledgeable and facilitated my growth.”
