Since joining the St. John Fisher University School of Business in 2017, Dr. Sukruth Suresh has served as an Assistant Professor and currently as a tenured Associate Professor of Management. Students will most often find him leading the undergraduate capstone in Strategic Management or teaching Operations Management. He has also taught Information Technology Management at the undergraduate level, as well as Operations and Supply Chain Management and Principles of Marketing at the graduate level.

In his research, Suresh explores the value proposition of outsourcing and offshoring. His work in this area has been published in leading journals, including Decision Sciences, Information Systems Frontiers, and Critical Perspectives on International Business. Recently, he has expanded his focus to examine how macroeconomic shifts, such as economic policy uncertainty, impact a firm's strategic actions. He also explores emerging research streams in consumer behavior within digital marketing, alongside marketing experiences in wine tourism and hospitality.

Suresh is an active and engaged member of the Fisher community with a strong record of service. Within the School of Business, his past roles include heading the Assurance of Learning committee, as well as serving on the Curriculum and MBA committees, allowing him to act as a vital link across these three areas. He has also participated in several key search committees, including those for the Dean, the accounting faculty, and the chair for the management and marketing department. At the University level, he served on the Faculty Welfare committee and previously chaired the Travel and Grants committee. Currently, he serves on the University-wide Academic Resources committee and the Curriculum & Instruction committee.

Beyond the campus borders, he remains deeply connected to his field. He regularly serves as a peer reviewer for several prominent publications and conferences, including the Information Systems Journal, the IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management Journal, along with the Academy of Wine Business Research, and the Academy of Management Conferences.

He has a Ph.D. in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Before academia, he worked as an IT consultant managing software releases and SAP ERP implementations.
