Dr. Dave is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Wegmans School of Pharmacy. He is involved in coordinating and co-instructing several courses in the Pharmaceutics sequence, including Pharmaceutics-I, Pharmaceutics-II, and Pharmacy Compounding Labs for the Campus and Online pathways.

His primary research interests revolve around excipient characterization and their pharmaceutical applications, contemporary approaches to enhance drug delivery (such as solubility, permeability, dissolution), non-invasive methods to analyze tablet properties, and research on extemporaneously compounded preparations.

In addition to his academic role, Dr. Dave is an Editorial Advisory Board Member at the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Journal of Excipients and Food Chemicals, and American Pharmaceutical Review. He also serves as an invited peer reviewer for various scientific journals, including the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy. Furthermore, he is a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).

Moreover, Dr. Dave holds the position of Vice Chair of the "Excipients Monographs - Simple Excipients" Expert Committee at the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) for the term 2020-2025.
