Anthony Rodriguez

Anthony Rodriguez is the principal of Anna Murray-Douglass Academy School No. 12. He served as an assistant principal of James Monroe Upper School from 2017 to 2023 and was previously a social studies teacher at Monroe, which included bilingual instruction. 

As a teacher leader and then a school building leader, Rodriguez has spent his career working to meet the needs of students, families, and staff. He has led teams, facilitated professional learning for adults, mentored teachers, and ran an experiential summer learning program for Rochester City School District students on St. John Fisher University’s campus for the past two years. 

Rodriguez earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Florida International University, a bilingual extension certification from Nazareth University, and two master’s degrees from St. John Fisher University: one in special education and social studies and a second in educational leadership.
