Dr. Wang’s research interests span empirical asset pricing, accounting quality, corporate disclosure analysis, artificial intelligence, and applications of machine learning and natural language processing to financial information. Ongoing research examines machine learning measurement of accounting disclosure quality and the asset pricing implications of accounting-derived signals. His published work appears in the Journal of Accounting Literature and the Journal for Computer Information Systems. In addition to his academic pursuits, he consults in the AI and fintech arenas. His most recently developed AI chatbot for manufacturing quality control is deployed in Fortune 500 companies with a combined annual revenue of more than $550 billion.
