Biography

Dr. Teresita Montgomery is an Assistant Professor in the Pharmacy Practice Department and proud alumna of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy. Following graduation, she completed her post-graduate year one (PGY1) residency training at the Finger Lakes VA Healthcare System. She further specialized by completing a post-graduate year two (PGY2) residency in Ambulatory Care, a joint program between St. John Fisher University and Anthony L. Jordan Health Center. Dr. Montgomery joined the faculty immediately following her training.

Clinical Practice & Service

Dr. Montgomery practices as a clinical pharmacist at the Woodward clinic within Jordan Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center that provides comprehensive, accessible, and affordable care to a diverse and often underserved patient population in the Rochester area. Dr. Montgomery provides direct patient care focused on chronic disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. She shares a special interest in precepting and looks forward to continuing to mentor residents and students.

Research and Scholarship

Dr. Montgomery's research interests align with her clinical practice, focusing on strategies to improve health outcomes, particularly within underserved communities, and evaluating innovative teaching methods for pharmacy students.
