Douglas Lauf is a seasoned educational leader with more than thirty years of experience as an administrator and teacher. His career has spanned kindergarten through post-secondary, including urban, suburban, and rural settings. Lauf currently serves as the assistant superintendent for human resources at Fairport Central School District, a role he has held since 2019.

Before this, Lauf was the principal of Irondequoit High School in the West Irondequoit Central School District from 2014 to 2019, and the principal of Williamson High School in the Williamson Central School District from 2003 to 2014. His leadership experience also includes roles as an assistant principal and department chairperson.

His teaching career includes positions as a technology teacher in the Churchville-Chili Central School District and Project Lead the Way Master Teacher, as well as an adjunct professor at Rochester Institute of Technology. He began his career as an art and technology teacher in the Rochester City School District.

Academically, Lauf holds a C.A.S. in educational administration from SUNY Brockport. He earned both a B.S. and an M.S. in education from Nazareth University. He also completed the Future Superintendents Academy through the NYS Council of School Superintendents.
